The illusion of the proximity
Tutor: Xavier Costa. The immediate experience of the sublime and of the excessive that exists in the contemporary culture, it seems that it is in all places, when, in reality, it is no-where, when the visual saturation is obligatory and the personal outlives as a sum of fragmented images. This reality it makes us to question ourselves on the archetypal notion of the rootstock of the subject to the place. Starting from the philosophical arguments of Eugenio Trias on the reflection of being as limit, as frontier, mediation, a difference where it is being articulated the one with the other, the visible with the invisible, and in consequence as a territory livable, from where it opens the possibility to understand and give signification to our life. The thesis speaks about the experience of being at the limits, as a way to approximate to a place that it is been inverted in its own emptiness and reconstructed on its own ruins.
