Yael Moria-Klain & Sigal Barnir

Sigal Barnir is a researcher of culture, landscape and architecture and a practicing independent curator. She is a senior lecturer at the Bezalel Academy of Art & Design, Jerusalem in architecture theory and curatorial studies. She received her Masters degree in Architecture & Urban Culture from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.

Yael Moria-Klain is a Professor of landscape architecture at the Technion – The Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa. She is a practicing landscape architect and is partner at Moria-Sekely Landscape Architecture, the firm behind many of Israel's major urban landscaping projects. Moria-Klain is a researcher and curator in the architecture and public space field. She received her Masters degree in Architecture & Urban Culture from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.

Sigal Barnir and Yael Moria-Klain collaborate in research and architectual projects as well as in education. Their collaboration stems from a joint intention to locate new methods of integration between architectual practice and cultural theory. They have curated various exhibitions together in the field of architecture and public space, including:

2000 Critical Landscape, Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona, Spain.


Sigal Barnir & Yael Moria-Kain have published various texts regarding landscape, architecture, and socio-political issues and their reflection in public space, including major catalogues and commissioned essays.
