FACULTY

Santiago Cirugeda

He studied architecture at the Schools of Seville and Barcelona. For over 11 years, he has developed critical projects in different areas of the urban reality. From systematic occupations of public spaces with containers, up to the construction of architectural prosthesis in façades, courtyards, and other spaces. His designs negotiate the legal and the illegal, to remind us about the high level of control over us. He carries out architectural projects, writes articles and takes part in different educational and cultural activities (graduate programs, seminars, conferences, workshops, exhibitions..). In October 2007 he presented the book Urban Situations, which shows legal strategies and social demands, through architectural projects. Nowadays, he is a member of the ASA management area (Sustainability, Association and Architecture, linked to the CSCAE).
