Elías Torres
Born in Ibiza in 1944.
Studied at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura of Barcelona (ETSAB), graduated as Architect in 1968.
Received Doctorate from the ETSAB in 1993.
Professional practice with José Antonio Martínez Lapeña since 1968.
Architect for the Diocese of Ibiza between 1973 and 1977.
Professor of Composition, Lanscape Architecture, Drawing and Design at ETSAB since 1969. Tenured Professor since 1996.
Visiting Professor at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), USA, Lecturer in the Department of Architecture and Urban Design.1977, 1981 and 1984
Resident at the Spanish Academy of Rome, 1990
Visiting Professor at the Università degli studi di Napoli Federico II. 2001
Visiting Professor at the Graduate School of Design (G.S.D.), Harvard University, USA. 1987,1995 (Kenzo Tange Visiting Professor of Architecture) and 2002
