Stefano Boeri
Stefano Boeri (http://www.stefanoboeri.net), born in 1956, is a Milan-based architect. He is the founder of the international research network "Multiplicity" (http://www.multiplicity.it) and teaches Urban Design at Milan Polytechnic. From 2004 to 2007 he was editor in chief of Domus international magazine. From September 2007 he is editor in chief of the international magazine Abitare.
Based in Milan, Boeri’s studio is committed to the research and practice of contemporary architecture and urbanism. Recently completed projects include the recovery of the Ex Arsenale at La Maddalena, Sardinia; the new RCS - Corriere della Sera Headquarters; the completion of recovery work on a tertiary services building within the Bicocca District (Edificio 307); the refurbishment of Milan’s oldest mall and a housing project on the outskirts of Milan; the design for a multifunctional building for the PACA Region on the Marseilles Waterfront (La Villa) and two eco compatible residential towers (il Bosco Verticale) in Milan have recently began construction. As of mid 2009 Boeri is part of the 2015 Milan Expo urban consultancy board in charge of developing the guidelines for the urban transformations to be implemented within the frame of the international event.
